On March 20, 2023, the Permanent Mission of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN in New York with the missions of Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, India, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, organized an event at the UN Headquarters on the occasion of the celebration Nooruz.

At the celebration, a separate table was decorated with the national dishes of each country.

The event was attended by UN Secretary-General H.E. Mr. António Guterres, President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council H.E. Ms. Lachezara Stoeva and UNESCO Representative in New York and delivered congratulatory messages.

During the event, a video was shown about the celebration of Nooruz in various countries of the world, including Kyrgyzstan, after which the Permanent Representatives of 12 countries congratulated the participants on the holiday.
