On October 19, 2023, the Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Nations Aida Kasymalieva met with the Assistant Administrator of UNDP and Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS Ivana Živković.

This meeting is organized in order to further implement the issues raised during the meeting of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov with the UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner, which took place during the High-level Week of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly on September 18, 2023.

During the meeting, the parties discussed actual issues of bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and UNDP and exchanged views on the implementation of environmental and «green» projects, in particular the possibility of using an external debt swap for sustainable development initiatives in Kyrgyzstan.

In conclusion, the parties wished success and confirmed their mutual interest in continuing fruitful cooperation.
