From January 23, 2021 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic arriving in the country by air are obliged to have a certificate with a negative PCR analysis conducted within the last 72 hours. This was stated at a meeting of the Republican headquarters for Combating COVID-19.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Government, due to adopted enhanced security measures to prevent the entry of a new strain of coronavirus infection in the Kyrgyz Republic, changes are introduced to the algorithms of checks for persons entering the country.

Thus, during international flights, a questionnaire is administered to passengers on board the aircraft, and upon arrival the questionnaires are handed over to employees of sanitary and quarantine posts. Thermometry, control of compliance with sanitary norms and social distance, PCR-testing are carried out at the airport. If clinical manifestations are detected, hospitalization is conducted.

In case the PCR test expires (72 hours) due to objective reasons related to the duration of the flight or flight delay, persons must undergo the test at the place of arrival (at air terminals).

When crossing the state border of the Kyrgyz Republic through road checkpoints, citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, foreign nationals, stateless persons must have a certificate with a negative PCR-analysis conducted within the last 72 hours. If clinical manifestations are detected, hospitalization is conducted. Contact persons fill out questionnaires and are sent to self-isolation.

Deputy Prime Minister Elvira Surabaldiyeva emphasized the importance of strict compliance with the algorithms of inspections.

During the meeting, the issues of compliance with the algorithms of work in secondary schools in connection with their gradual switch to traditional mode were also discussed.

At the end of the HQ meeting, a number of instructions were given to state and local authorities.
