Organising the "Let's get lost to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan" information tour

     The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the United Arab Emirates together with the dynamically developing Emirati company Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Department of Tourism of the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic organised an information tour "Let's get lost to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan" on 22-24 September. This event was held in accordance with the tasks set by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic to foreign institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic to increase the tourism potential of our country. As part of the information campaign, on 22 September, an airliner of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi arrived at Manas International Airport with 150 participants of the infotour, including

-40 well-known UAE bloggers/influencers;

-5 media representatives from the UAE;

-5 key stakeholders from the UAE tourism, travel and aviation sectors;

-100 participants who were the winners of the Wizz Air Abu Dhabi competition held on popular social media channels.

       The main concept of the campaign was to raise awareness of Kyrgyzstan as a tourist destination in the UAE and the Gulf region through «word of mouth», bloggers and travellers.

    During the three-day tour, well-known bloggers and influencers from the UAE visited popular tourist attractions in Bishkek, Chui and Issyk-Kul oblasts. The awareness campaign was widely promoted on social networks Instagram, TikTok and UAE media, with posts and messages, videos, clothing, weather and food competitions on Kyrgyzstan-related topics. According to Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the total reach of the "Let's get lost to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan" infotour reached 40 million subscribers, which will have a great positive impact on the growth of tourist flows from the UAE to the Kyrgyz Republic.
