A delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) familiarized themselves with the activities of the Federal Police of Austria.

Within the scope of a working visit, the MIA delegation became acquainted with the activities of the Federal Police of Austria in Vienna, focusing on an intensive exchange of experiences with Austrian counterparts.

During the events held with the support of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Austria and the OSCE, potential directions of cooperation between the departments were discussed.

The delegation included the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Police Lieutenant General Ulan Niyazbekov; the Chief of the MIA SCNS (State Committee for National Security) of the Kyrgyz Republic, Police Colonel Stalbek Rahmanov; the Chief of the International Cooperation Department of the MIA of the Kyrgyz Republic, Police Colonel Nurbek Zjangabylov; the Director of the Association for Supporting the Activities of Mobile Police Reception, Shamsybek Mamyrov; and the Police Affairs Advisor of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek, Konstantin Bedyarev.

The visit aimed to facilitate knowledge exchange and the transmission of advanced practices in the field of joint security provision and crime prevention between Kyrgyzstan and Austria. It aimed to strengthen social partnerships, study mechanisms contributing to increased transparency and accountability in police activities.

The Kyrgyz side was acquainted with the activities and working methods of the Federal Police of Austria.

Discussions also encompassed training and preparation of personnel, the use of modern technologies in law enforcement, and the implementation of innovative approaches to ensuring public safety. The visit marked an important step in deepening international cooperation; sharing experiences enables countries to more effectively counter contemporary threats and establish more resilient systems for citizen protection.
