On March 6, 2024, in Erfurt, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany Omurbek Tekebaev and the President of the Land Parliament (Landtag) of the Federal State of Thuringia Birgit Pommer.

During the meeting, Ambassador O.Tekebaev provided information about Kyrgyzstan and discussed issues of Kyrgyz-German cooperation in various fields. The Ambassador expressed interest in further expanding ties between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Federal State of Thuringia, especially in strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation with Thuringia.

President of the State Parliament of Thuringia B.Pommer said that there is great potential for developing relations between Kyrgyzstan and Thuringia in various areas, including in the field of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

As part of the meeting, an acquaintance with the history of the building of the Landtag of Thuringia took place. Ambassador O. Tekebayev made a commemorative entry in the book of honored guests of the Landtag.
