On 15 February, 2024 at the Presidential Palace in Prague the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Czech Republic with the residence in Vienna T.K.Makeyev presented his Credentials to the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel.

During the conversation the Ambassador T.K.Makeyev conveyed greetings and good wishes to the President of the Czech Republic on behalf of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic S.N.Zhaparov and expressed his readiness to make every effort to further expand and strengthen Kyrgyz-Czech relations.

The Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan noted that 2025 will mark the 100th anniversary of the arrival of the first echelon of Czechs and Slovaks as part of the «Interhelpo» industrial cooperative in Kyrgyzstan, who assisted in the industrial development of our country. In this regard, the Ambassador proposed organizing mutual visits at the highest level and holding other joint events to celebrate this significant date.

The significant interest of the Kyrgyz side in developing economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation with the Czech Republic was also emphasized. In addition, issues of interaction between Kyrgyzstan and the Czech Republic within the European Union and international organizations were discussed.

The President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel noted the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries and wished the Ambassador T.K.Makeyev a successful diplomatic mission for the benefit of the two nations.
