The history of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the People's Republic of China

The Kyrgyz Republic and the People's Republic of China established diplomatic relations on January 5, 1992.

The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the People's Republic of China was established by Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic dated April 6, 1993 No. 110 “On the establishment of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the People's Republic of China” and Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic dated May 13, 1993 No. 205 “On the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic” Yrgyz Republic in the People's Republic of China". The official opening took place on August 31, 1993. The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ednan Karabaev.

The first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the People's Republic of China in the period 1993-1996 was Muratbek Imanaliev.

Ambassadors Marat Saralinov (1996-2001), Erlan Abdyldaev (2001-2005), Kamil Sultanov (2005-2007), Kadyrbek Sarbaev (2007-2009), Jeenbek Kulubaev (2009-2013), Kanayim Baktygulova (2013-2017 and 2019 - 2022), Azamat Usenov (2017-2018), Aktilek Musaeva (since September 2022 to the present time) took up the baton and continued the work started by M. Imanaliev to establish, develop and strengthen Kyrgyz-Chinese relations.

 

To date, about 340 interstate, intergovernmental, interdepartmental, and other bilateral documents have been signed between the Kyrgyz Republic and the PRC, which indicates the existence of a serious legal framework and the desire of the two countries to consistently develop mutually beneficial cooperation.

Kyrgyz-Chinese relations are developing dynamically. The strengthening of the strategic partnership is facilitated by mutual trust and traditionally friendly and good neighborly relations between the two countries.
