DETERMINATION OF AFFILIATION TO CITIZENSHIP OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC

In accordance with the Kyrgyz Republic Law "On Citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic", dated May 21, 2007 No. 70, acquisition of other citizenship by a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic does not entail termination of nationality of the Kyrgyz Republic. The termination of the citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic is possible as a result of the renunciation of the citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The list of documents to process the surrender of citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic is as follows:
1. Application form for surrender of the citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic in three copies;
(IMPORTANT: in order to avoid the return of the application form, it should be filled out in block letters, legibly, without corrections and crossing out);
2. originals of existing passports + 3 copies (CR and (or) FR);
3. original birth certificate + 3 copies;
4. original certificate of marriage / certificate of divorce / death of a spouse / court decision on the recognition of a spouse as dead or missing in appropriate cases + 3 copies;
5. Original document of the tax authority of the Kyrgyz Republic (at the applicant's last place of residence in the Kyrgyz Republic) about the absence of tax arrears + 3 copies;
6. receipt of payment of the consular fee ($510 in EUR at the rate of the French Central Bank);
7. three color photos 4x6 cm on a white background.
If the applicant simultaneously applies for the renunciation of the citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic for minor children, the following must be submitted:
1. original birth certificate / establishment of guardianship or custody / deprivation of parental rights + 3 copies;
2. written consent of the parties to terminate or retain the citizenship of the child if one of the parents or guardians remains a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, notarized or certified at a diplomatic mission or consular office of the Kyrgyz Republic;
3. written consent of children aged 14 to 18 to change their citizenship, notarized or certified by a diplomatic mission or consular office of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The consular fee is 510 U.S. dollars (payable in euros at the current exchange rate of the Central Bank of France).
