On October 12, 2023, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan participated in the online presentation "Pitch Session of Kyrgyz IT Companies" organized by the Japan Association for Trade with Russia and CIS (ROTOBO). This online event had 34 registered participants and 4 IT companies from the Kyrgyz Republic such as DiGi, PetaByte, 4Tale Production and Ant Tech took part and made presentations about their companies and products. These IT companies are also planning to participate in the largest Japanese IT exhibition "Japan IT Week" to be held at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall from October 25-27, 2023.

         During the event, Mr. E. Osoev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan, in his speech expressed his gratitude to Mr. Takafumi Nakai, Director General of the Institute for Economic Research of Russia and CIS (ROTOBO) for organizing the event and noted that one of the main directions of scientific and technical cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Japan is digitalization and IT industry. He briefed the participants on successful projects of joint software development, exchange of experience and knowledge between specialists, as well as implementation of joint scientific research. He also emphasized that Kyrgyz IT companies not only sell their services to their business partners, but they also prepare very useful programs that are socially oriented and beneficial to society.

          At the end of his speech, E. Osoev urged the participants of the event to focus on the development of infrastructure of national digital systems, promotion of e-commerce and creation of favorable environment for startups and small businesses in the IT sector, as well as to invest in education and professional training of IT specialists and suggested to join efforts and work together to overcome challenges and achieve new successes.

         The CEO of the Japanese company SAMI Japan, Mr. H. Makino, acted as a commentator during the question and answer session.
