On February 6, 2024, a meeting was held between the Ambassador E. Osoev, M.P. of Wakayama Prefecture Mrs. Mori Reiko, Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Kansai region Mr. T.Bunno and the representative of the Japanese “Rakugo” theatre Mr.R. Heiichi.

During the meeting Ambassador E.Osoev provided information on current issues of Kyrgyz-Japanese cooperation and noted the importance of expanding interaction between regions of the Kyrgyz Republic and Japan in cultural, humanitarian, trade and economic spheres.

In turn M.P. Mrs. Mori Reiko expressed the interest of Wakayama Prefecture in co-operation with the Kyrgyz Republic, especially in the field of educational exchanges.

The parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of educational and cultural exchanges, as well as the prospects of establishing twinning relations between the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic and Wakayama Prefecture.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador E. Osoev expressed his readiness to continue the joint dialogue and implementation of plans and agreements.
