On February 22, 2024, Ambassador Erkinbek Osoev held a meeting with the Co-Director of the Kyrgyz-Japanese Centre for Human Development Mr. Iwai Atsumu.

During the meeting, Mr. Iwai Atsumu provided detailed information on the activities of the Centre for 2023.

The parties also discussed plans for the current 2024 year, which will include activities to promote tourism to the Kyrgyz Republic, projects to educate students from the Kyrgyz Republic in Japan, accommodation of Japanese students in Kyrgyz families, organisation of seminars on employment in Japan and others.

With the direct assistance of the Centre, about 21 students from the Kyrgyz Republic will visit Japan for educational purposes in the current 2024 year.

At the end of the meeting, the Parties agreed to continue cooperation in all areas.
