On March 27, 2024 a meeting was held between the Ambassador E. Osoev, M.P. of Wakayama Prefecture Ms. Mori Reiko, Executive Director for international affairs of Wakayama Prefectural Government Mr. T.Okazawa, Japanese cultural representative Mr. R. Heiichi and the Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Kansai region, Mr. T.Bunno.

The parties discussed the prospects of future cooperation with a focus on educational and cultural exchanges, as well as interregional cooperation.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to organize mutual visits to Wakayama Prefecture and the Kyrgyz Republic for further implementation of the plans and agreements.
