On March 4, 2024, a meeting between the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the environment ministers of Central Asian countries took place in Ashgabat.

            The event, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkmenistan, was attended by the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic M. Turgunbaev.

         At the Нigh-Level Meeting, the main topics of discussion were environmental protection, environmental safety in the region, water and agricultural issues, the transition to a green economy and others. Along with this, the issues of climate change and its consequences, the need to develop coordinated measures to adapt to climate change, reducing the risks of natural disasters, etc. were also considered.
