On January 25, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkmenistan Azizbek Madmarov met with the Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Turkmen part of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Turkmen Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation Annageldi Saparov.

During the meeting the parties noting with satisfaction the positive dynamics of development of Kyrgyz-Turkmen relations, discussed issues of further expansion of comprehensive cooperation. At the same time, particular attention was paid to interstate cooperation in the energy sector.

In order to further develop the economic partnership, the parties emphasized the important role of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Turkmen Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation, as well as to hold the next Sixth meeting of this Commission and implementing previously reached agreements.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening bilateral relations and maintaining regular contacts.
