On February 3, 2021, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov signed decrees appointing the Members of the new Government of the Kyrgyz Republic headed by the Prime Minister Ulukbek Maripov. Earlier, the same day, the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic approved the program, structure and composition of the Government.

In addition to the results of the elections of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the referendum determining form of government on January 10, as well as the inauguration of Sadyr Japarov as the President of the Kyrgyz Republic on January 28, 2021, the formation of the new Government became another significant stage in the transition of power in the country after October events last year.

Thus, today important legal and administrative foundations have been laid out for continuing work to strengthen public consensus and stability, ensure sustainable development and inclusive growth in Kyrgyzstan, development of the mutually beneficial relations with the international community, as well as implementation of the principal reforms outlined by the country's new leadership, including reforms in the field of irreconcilable and uncompromising fight against corruption and crime and in improving the system of public administration.

Transparent, open, fair presidential elections and referendum held on January 10, 2021 proved that the multinational people of the Kyrgyz Republic is and will remain the only source of power in the Kyrgyz Republic. The main goal of the radical reforms planned by the new leadership of the country is to ensure the country's security, speedy social and economic development, and the well-being of every citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic.

2005, 2010 and 2020 events clearly demonstrated that no government in our country can work and carry out reforms without gaining the trust and support of its people. Moreover, these events once again proved that the people of Kyrgyzstan is the main guarantor of the fact that our country will not turn away from the path of democracy and will continue its development in accordance with the principles of the rule of law.

In accordance with the will of the people, expressed during referendum on January 10, 2021 on the form of government, the dates for the referendum on the new Constitution, as well as new parliamentary elections will be determined in the near future.

The Kyrgyz Republic expresses sincere gratitude to all allied states and international partners for the support provided, humanitarian and technical assistance in overcoming the crisis and the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and participation in the development of the country.

The Kyrgyz Republic reaffirms that it remains fully committed to all of its international obligations and strict implementation of all previously signed bilateral and multilateral treaties and agreements.
