On 12 April 2024 the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and student-activists from Kyrgyzstan initiated the opening and the first meeting of the "Kyrgyz Student Association in the UK - Jash Jurөktөr - Birge Kelechek".

In his speech to the students, Ambassador U.Djusupov noted the importance of this event in the life of Kyrgyz youth in the UK, as well as the formation of an active and successful youth community capable of worthily representing the interests of their country abroad.

 During the meeting the Organising Committee of the Association was approved, plans and projects for the near future were outlined.

In particular, a handbook for a student from the Kyrgyz Republic is currently being prepared for publication, as well as a programme of activities of the Association, which includes joint events with the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz language online lessons for students and more active positioning of Kyrgyzstan on student platforms in the UK.

The event generated a lively interest among young people, initiating potential opportunities for developing professional and personal connections, as well as exchanging experience in various fields of activity.
