On October 21, 2021, as part of the ongoing work on the high-quality organization of the participation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the World Exhibition «Dubai EXPO-2020» a meeting was held  under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Investments of the Kyrgyz Republic A.Artykbayev with the participation of the AEP of the Kyrgyz Republic in the UAE A. Zhumabaev, the Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Dubai T.Abdizhalil via videoconferencing, as well as representatives of state bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, which is the national exhibition operator and is responsible for resolving all organizational and technical issues for the participation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the framework of «Dubai EXPO-2020».

During the meeting, Deputy Minister A.Artykbaev outlined the importance of using this unique opportunity to showcase the Republic on this platform, within which there is an opportunity to present the Kyrgyz Republic as a country with a multifaceted tourism potential, investment opportunities, as well as open to new changes with the disclosure of its development opportunities, which in the future will bring additional dividends to the development of the country's economy.

The parties discussed the possibilities of improving, as well as making changes and additions to the national pavilion of the Kyrgyz Republic. The meeting participants proposed various options for improving the exposition, which will allow the foreign public to get acquainted with the innovative and technical potential pursued by the liberal investment policy, the country's richest cultural and historical heritage, rich and varied opportunities in the tourism sector.

A.Artykbayev called on all involved parties to put maximum efforts to properly study the organization of the participation of the Kyrgyz Republic in this exhibition, to use the provided opportunity for the fullest and to reveal all  available potential of the country on the presented large-scale platform. For his part, he expressed his readiness to provide comprehensive assistance to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic in solving existing issues on the holding of the World Exhibition.

There were also discussed the issues of holding the National Day of the Kyrgyz Republic at the proper level within the framework of «Dubai EXPO-2020», which will be held on December 14, 2021, with the participation of officials. During this event, the flag will be raised and the national anthem will be performed, additionally there are expected to be the organization of cultural events, the Kyrgyz-Emirates business forum, an exhibition of domestic products and touristic road show

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached in the near future, by joint efforts, to supplement and make changes in the design of the national pavilion of the Kyrgyz Republic with national Kyrgyz accessories, as well as in the establishment of appropriate innovative technologies within the exposition.

For reference: The World Exhibition «Dubai EXPO-2020» which is being from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 in Dubai and is an unprecedented event, which is organized for the first time in the history of the Middle East and South Asia region. More than 190 countries will take part in the event and will present architecture, culture, innovations of their states.
