First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Nuran Niyazaliev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Kyrgyz Republic with the residence in Nur-Sultan  Gintautas Vasiulis

On October 19, 2021 First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Nuran Niyazaliev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Kyrgyz Republic with the residence in Nur-Sultan  Gintautas Vasiulis.

During the conversation topical issues of the bilateral agenda were considered with an emphasis on the need to further strengthen relations by organizing mutual visits, holding regular consultations between foreign ministries and the participation of Lithuanian delegation and business representatives in the First EU-CA Economic Forum in Bishkek on November 5, 2021.

The need to intensify mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade and economic sphere and the implementation of joint projects, including projects under the auspices of the European Union, in such areas as agriculture, IT technologies and digitalization, transport and logistics, phytosanitary and standardization were noted.

The parties discussed specific issues of expanding legal framework, developing cooperation in transport sector, including the issue of opening flights, and joint work to combat COVID-19.

Kyrgyzstan and Lithuania also expressed their intention to actively interact at various international platforms.
