On December 17, 2019, Mr. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey, met with the leadership and representatives of companies of the Anadolu Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) in Ankara.

There was made a presentation on investment opportunities and the climate in the Kyrgyz Republic, including on the conditions for doing business (low taxes and costs of doing business) by Ambassador Omuraliev, as well as foreign trade turnover of the Kyrgyz Republic, on membership of the Kyrgyz Republic in the EEU and the status of GSP + from the European Union.

Ambassador Omuraliev also drew attention to priority sectors of the Kyrgyz economy: agriculture, light industry, hydropower, mining, information technology, and tourism.

The sides discussed questions concerned the terms of the opening of companies in Kyrgyzstan as well as the conditions for the safety of investors and the movement of capital, etc.

Also, there was distributed information on Kyrgyz investment projects among Turkish entrepreneurs, as well as were shown videos about Kyrgyzstan.

There was agreed with Husein Tuncay, Chairman of the Board of OIZ Anadolu, that after studying investment projects of the Kyrgyz Republic, the parties will organize a visit of a delegation of businessmen of the Anadolu industrial zone to Kyrgyzstan to explore the possibilities of opening new production sites.
