On April 22 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Aibek Moldogaziev met with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Central and South Asian Affairs John Mark Pommersheim, who arrived in Bishkek to participate in the regular annual bilateral consultations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United States.

During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues on the agenda and prospects for the development of Kyrgyz-American relations.

In particular, the parties considered issues of further interaction within the framework of the C5+1 mechanism, cooperation in the field of business, investment, and human rights.

In addition, the parties exchanged views on the current geopolitical situation, as well as on regional security issues.

At the end of the conversation, the parties confirmed their mutual desire to strengthen bilateral cooperation, as well as further joint work in all areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
