On August 5, 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev met the Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations of the Sverdlovsk Region of the Russian Federation Vasiliy Kozlov within the framework of his working visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues of interregional cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and migration spheres.

The parties noted the need to intensify work on holding the 9th Kyrgyz-Russian Interregional Conference, the second Forum of rectors of universities of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, the Kyrgyz-Sverdlovsk intergovernmental commission, as well as other planned activities, taking into account the stabilization of the epidemiological situation in the countries.

The parties expressed their readiness for dynamic interaction to implement the reached agreements and to continue constructive dialogue in the spirit of allied relations and strategic partnership between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation.
