On February 1, 2022 Mr. Aibek Artykbaev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, held the meeting with Mr. Saeed Matar Al-Qemzi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Kyrgyz Republic (with residence in Tashkent).

During the meeting, the wide range of issues of the Kyrgyz-Emirati cooperation agenda was discussed.

In particular, the parties discussed mutual visits at the highest and high levels, development of trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, expansion of treaty and legal base, organization of further political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries and meeting of the Joint Kyrgyz-Emirati Intergovernmental Commission.

Deputy Minister Mr. A.Artykbaev welcomed the intention of the UAE Government to establish the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Kyrgyz Republic and expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic to provide any assistance in this matter.

 In order to develop tourism and attract investment to the Kyrgyz Republic, the issues regarding the creation of favorable legal climate and guarantees for foreign investors, the development of a modern tourism infrastructure in Kyrgyzstan that meets international standards and the use of available direct flights between the Kyrgyz Republic and the UAE were raised during the meeting.

Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Mr. S.Al-Qemzi, in turn, expressed his willingness to make every effort to develop the Kyrgyz-Emirates bilateral cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to make joint and consistent efforts to resolve the issues raised during the meeting and maintain close working relationships.
