Заместитель министра иностранных дел Кыргызской Республики Динара Кемелова встретилась с Заместителем исполнительного секретаря Европейской экономической комиссии ООН Дмитрием Марьясиным

On March 11, 2022 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Dinara Kemelova met with Deputy Executive Secretary of UN Economic Commission for Europe Dmitry Mariyasin during his visit to the Kyrgyz Republic on March 9-11, 2022.

During the meeting the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral and regional cooperation and the role of UN Economic Commission for Europe in development of Europe and Central Asia.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Dinara Kemelova underlined the importance of interaction with the Commission on implementation of projects in the Kyrgyz Republic in energy security, hydropower and expansion of population’s access to water, increasing institutional potential of public bodies, training for entrepreneurs on the issues of increasing export of national goods to the European Union Member States. Separately Dinara Kemelova noted the importance of cooperation development to protect mountain ecosystems and informed about the recent international initiatives of the Kyrgyz Republic on mountains.

Deputy Executive Secretary of UN Economic Commission for Europe Dmitry Mariyasin confirmed the relevance of above-mentioned issues and expressed readiness of the Commission to support its implementation. He mentioned the importance of active participation of the Kyrgyz Republic in framework of the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia and greater involvement of the Kyrgyz Republic in main international transport corridors in order to develop export of national commodities to world markets.

The UN Economic Commission for Europe is one of the five regional commissions of the United Nations Organization. It was established in 1947 by Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to develop economic activity and strengthen economic ties inside the region of UN Economic Commission for Europe and between the region and other world.
