On 14 March 2022 Deputy Foreign Minister Aibek Moldogaziev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic to the Kyrgyz Republic with residence in Nur-Sultan Efthalia Kakiopoulou, on the occasion of presenting copies of her credentials.

Aibek Moldogaziev congratulated Efthalia Kakiopoulou on her appointment and wished her success in her responsible position.

Parties discussed upcoming high-level bilateral visits and events, including preparations for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries this year.

Parties also noted with pleasure the recent intensification of the Kyrgyz-Greek relations and discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation.

They exchanged views on the international agenda, including political and security issues related to the situation in Ukraine. Deputy Minister A.Moldogaziev underlined that the Kyrgyz Republic supports the launch of the negotiation process between Russia and Ukraine for the peaceful settlement of the conflict and highly interested in the reaching mutually acceptable solutions as soon as possible, first of all facilitating the ceasefire and overcoming the crisis.

Following the meeting, the Kyrgyz side expressed its readiness to strengthen bilateral relations.
