On April 13, 2022 upon the initiative of the Bahraini side Mr. Ruslan Kazakbaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, held the telephone talks with Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

During the conversation, the foreign ministers of the two countries discussed prospective directions of the further development of the Kyrgyz-Bahraini relations and cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral formats, as well as agreed to make joint efforts for strengthening political dialogue by organization of mutual visits at various levels and development of the bilateral legal basis between the countries.

The parties also agreed to interact and provide mutual support between the two countries within the international organizations, including the UN, OIC and SCO, as well as promote facilitation of the inter-regional dialogue and cooperation on the basis of the Gulf Cooperation Council - Central Asia (GCC - CA).

Moreover, the foreign ministers of the two countries discussed a number of key issues on the international agenda, including the situation in Ukraine, and highlighted the importance of consolidating and strengthening the unity of the Muslim Ummah in view of the new threats and challenges that the whole world community faces.
