Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Dinara Kemelova met with the Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Hasan Kleib

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Dinara Kemelova met with the Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Hasan Kleib with the participation of the Director of «Kyrgyzpatent» Rahat Kerimbaeva on May 18, 2022.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and WIPO, which promotes innovation and creativity for economic, social and cultural development through a balanced and efficient international intellectual property system of the Kyrgyz Republic.

WIPO Deputy Director General Hasan Kleib informed that the WIPO Academy hosted programs of training courses on intellectual property for all categories of citizens, in particular government officials, inventors and authors, entrepreneurs, students and teachers.

D.Kemelova touched upon the problem of branding artis and agricultural products, including rice grown in Kyrgyzstan, as well as the adoption of new technologies in agriculture and the environment.

WIPO Deputy Director General Hasan Kleib outlined the prospect of cooperation in support of development and project activities, including the WIPO GREEN platform for technology exchange, which supports global efforts to combat climate change by connecting providers and recipients of environmentally sound technologies.

Hasan Kleib assured that the organization would provide maximum support to the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of new technologies and intellectual property.
