The Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev held a meeting with the diplomats of the Central Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic

On June 4, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev held a meeting with the staff of the Central Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, with senior, middle and junior diplomats, during which he identified the main priorities in the activities of the Foreign Ministry in the context of the tasks set by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic S.N. Zhaparov and the Cabinet of Ministers for the near and long term, as well as the implementation of the anti-crisis program. He especially drew attention to the importance of protecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.

Regarding the daily work of the team, he especially noted the performance and labor discipline, the need to strengthen educational and mentoring work, the importance of systematic professional growth of Kyrgyz diplomats and purposeful work with personnel. At the same time, according to the Minister, in most cases, it is the competence of diplomats that creates the image of the country.

The Minister noted that diplomats have to deal with a wide range of issues, so they must prepare documents with high quality, offer solutions to problems, taking into account the best practices of other countries, be good negotiators and analysts in order to adequately represent Kyrgyzstan in the international arena. At the same time, Minister J. Kulubaev cited a number of specific examples when diplomats behaved unworthily in the country and abroad or weakly defended the national interests of the Kyrgyz Republic.

He stressed that approaches to the work of diplomats, the criteria for their selection and career growth will be revised. The Minister informed the participants about the ongoing work to reformat the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, taking into account the tasks facing the country.
