On the Kyrgyz-German negotiations on financial and technical cooperation
On June 2, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Zheenbek Kulubaev held an online meeting with the State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany Niels Annen.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic noted that the  advancement of cooperation with Germany is one of the priorities of the foreign policy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the European direction, emphasizing the fruitful cooperation of the parties in the field of development. The Minister emphasized that the projects implemented with Germany make a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan.
Niels Annen noted that the German side is committed to long-term cooperation and intends to support the democratic development of Kyrgyzstan. The German side noted the prospects for cooperation in the fields of climate protection and energy.
The online talks have also been attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Aibek Moldogaziyev, who noted with satisfaction the signing by the parties on May 24, 2022 of the Agreement on debt conversion in the amount of 14.9 million euros, which will be used to finance housing construction in rural areas in Kyrgyzstan. It was emphasized that the signing of the agreement is a vivid example of fruitful joint work.
The parties noted the importance of the upcoming Kyrgyz-German Business Forum on June 13-14, 2022 in Bishkek and the first meeting of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council, co-chaired by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic A.Zhaparov.
During the talks, the main directions of the forthcoming joint work within the framework of economic cooperation had been discussed.
