The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Dinara Kemelova met with the Acting Head of the WHO European Office for the Prevention of Noncommunicable Diseases in Moscow Kremlin Wickramasinghe

On June 23, 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Dinara Kemelova met with the Acting Head of the WHO European Office for the Prevention of Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) in Moscow Kremlin Wickramasinghe.

Priority areas of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the WHO representative on the implementation of project activities in the field of noncommunicable diseases, health promotion, as well as the use of preventive measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic were discussed.

During the meeting, D.Kemelova asked to consider the possibility of providing Kyrgyzstan with annual quotas in the Russian Federation for the treatment of children suffering from serious diseases, including cancer, within the framework of ongoing projects of the WHO Office on NCDs. She noted the need to expand WHO project activities in the Kyrgyz Republic, strengthen the capacity of medical institutions, improve the skills of doctors and equipment of medical institutions.

In conclusion, the Parties confirmed their readiness to continue further productive cooperation.
