On April 5, 2023, in Riyadh, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov met with the Director General of the Department of Asian Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Muhammad Almatrafi.

At the meeting, the parties noted with satisfaction the high dynamics of cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral formats, and discussed the current state of the entire spectrum of Kyrgyz-Saudi cooperation, as well as steps for its further development.

Special attention was paid to the issues of intensifying political contacts by organizing mutual visits at various levels, developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as expanding the bilateral legal framework. An exchange of views also took place on the most pressing issues of the regional and international agenda.

Touching upon aspects of interaction between the two countries within the framework of international organizations, the parties discussed issues of mutual support for the candidacies of their countries in the elected bodies of these organizations.

Ambassador U.Maripov emphasized the firm intention of the Kyrgyz Republic to further develop consistent cooperation with the Kingdom in all areas of mutual interest.

In turn, Director General M.Almatrafi assured that the leadership of Saudi Arabia is interested in further building up and strengthening the traditionally friendly relations between the countries.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to take measures to promote agreements in various fields, which are planned to be signed during the planned visits at the highest level.
