A working visit of President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic T. Sariev and the First Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Osh region U. Manapov to Iran

In the period from May 7 to 10, 2023, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic T. Sariev and the First Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Osh Region U. Manapov paid a working visit to Iran.

As part of the visit, the heads of delegations of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Osh region took part in the opening ceremony of the 5th international export exhibition "IRAN EXPO-2023" and visited the pavilions at the Tehran International Exhibition Complex, where a wide range of products manufactured in Iran was presented in such areas as agriculture economy, petrochemistry, construction, medicine, pharmaceuticals, etc.

Also, a delegation of more than 40 Kyrgyz companies arrived to participate in the international exhibition "IRAN EXPO-2023", with the further intention of Kyrgyz business circles to develop trade, economic and investment cooperation with Iran. In turn, representatives of Iranian private business expressed their interest in strengthening export-import relations with Kyrgyzstan.

T. Sariev and U. Manapov also met with President of the Iran Chamber of Commerce and Industry G. Kh. Shafei, during of which the parties discussed trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. In addition, factors that impede the full realization of the potential of trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as an increase in the level of trade turnover between the two countries were considered.

In Tehran a business forum in the B2B format was also held along with the participation of entrepreneurs from the two countries, during which the parties discussed the export of agricultural products to Iran, as well as the import of building materials, industrial equipment, petrochemical products to the Kyrgyz Republic. As a result of the meeting, a number of bilateral agreements between Kyrgyz and Iranian manufacturers were agreed for signing.
