On May 10, 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Iran Turdakun Sydykov met with the First Deputy Minister of Education of Iran for International Affairs Vahid Haddadi Asl, during of which the parties discussed issues of scientific and technical cooperation and higher education between the countries.

The parties stressed the need to strengthen joint work on launching student exchange programs, conducting joint research work with the further establishment of joint research centers at the universities of Kyrgyzstan and Iran, organizing internships for the exchange of experience for faculty, as well as establishing centers and funds for the study of the Kyrgyz and Persian languages and literature.

In order to practically implement the tasks of strengthening cooperation, an agreement was reached to accelerate the preparation for signing of a draft bilateral memorandum in the field of education, which are under consideration by the parties.
