On June 15, 2023, in Riyadh, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov met with the Minister of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of the Kyrgyz-Saudi cooperation in the field of education and science, as well as the development of the legal framework.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the points of the Protocol of the Third meeting of the Kyrgyz-Saudi Committee for Cooperation relating to education and science, which was held in Riyadh in November 2022.

The parties also discussed further steps to implement the Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of education and science, signed between the ministries of education of the two countries in 2019.

Minister Yu. Al-Benyan noted the importance of interaction between the relevant authorities of the two countries for the development of cooperation.

As a result, the parties agreed to organize online meetings in the near future in order to further implement the previously reached agreements.

In conclusion, Ambassador U.Maripov invited Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan to visit the Kyrgyz Republic at a convenient time for him.
