On April 18, 2024, a meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Aibek Moldogaziev and the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic Du Dewen.

During the meeting, the parties positively assessed the intensification of bilateral political contacts and emphasized the importance of continuing the exchange of visits at the highest and high levels, as well as interregional levels to strengthen the dialogue between the two countries. The importance of the implementation of previously reached agreements was noted, including agreements during the visits of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov to the People's Republic of China and the Head of the Government of the XUAR of the People's Republic of China Erkin Tuniyaz to the Kyrgyz Republic.

The issues discussed also included the development of interregional transport connections and the implementation of large investment projects in production and energy sectors in the Kyrgyz Republic with the participation of Chinese capital. A favorable forecast for the growth of Chinese investment in the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the near future was noted.
