On April 18, 2024, Ambassador Anvar Anarbaev held a meeting at the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Malaysia with Mr. Zamani Rafique, Director for Global Policy and Government Relations, «AirAsia».

The parties discussed the prospects of establishing direct passenger and cargo flights between Bishkek and Kuala Lumpur. Ambassador Anvar Anarbaev emphasized that the launch of convenient and affordable direct flights will contribute to the development of tourism, trade, business ties, as well as cultural and educational exchanges between the countries.

The representative of AirAsia expressed interest in expanding the list of flight destinations, including the possible launch of direct flights on the route «Kuala Lumpur - Bishkek» at affordable rates for citizens of the two countries. «AirAsia» expressed readiness to visit the Kyrgyz Republic in the near future to explore the prospects of cooperation.
