On May 22, 2024, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany Omurbek Tekebaev and the Mayor of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district of Berlin, Kirstin Bauch.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of developing cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf region, which is one of the central regions of Berlin.

Ambassador O.Tekebaev expressed interest in cooperation with the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf region in order to exchange experience on the development of the city’s infrastructure, the development of municipal and local governments in Kyrgyzstan.

The parties expressed their readiness to hold joint cultural events in order to popularize Kyrgyz culture and traditions in Berlin.
