Ambassador T. Bazarbaev met with the General Director of the Rome Opera House F. Giambroni and Artistic Director A. Vlad

As part of development of the Kyrgyz-Italian cultural and humanitarian cooperation, on June 3, 2022, Ambassador T. Bazarbaev met with the General Director of the Rome Opera House F. Giambroni and Artistic Director A. Vlad.

T. Bazarbaev informed about the glorious history of the Kyrgyz National Order of V. Lenin Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, which is the center of the country's musical culture and gave a generation of outstanding People's Honored Artists as S. Kiyizbaeva, K. Sartbaeva, M. Asylbashev, K. Moldobasanov and others who have written their names in the history of opera and ballet art of the Kyrgyz Republic. He also mentioned about the young graduates of the Opera and Ballet Theatre named after A. Maldybaev, who are currently performing on the stages of opera houses in Italy.

In this regard, he paid special attention to the need to start cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Italian Republic in the field of culture and art, which is an important component of bilateral cooperation. He proposed to establish cooperation and exchange of experience between the theaters of the two states, by organizing joint concerts with the participation of opera singers and ballet dancers, arranging internships for student singers and conductors.

As part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Italian Republic T. Bazarbaev invited F. Giambroni to visit Bishkek to participate in the opening of the new theater season this year and Italian opera singers to take part in the performance of the Italian operas on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theatre named after A. Maldybaeva.

F. Giambroni expressed his gratitude for the interest shown in developing cooperation with the Rome Opera House and for his part noted the deep interest in cooperation with the Opera and Ballet Theater named after A. Maldybaev in all the proposed areas. He emphasized that the participation of talented young Italian opera singers on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theatre named after A. Maldybaev may become a beginning of the bilateral cooperation. He noted his readiness to consider the arrangement of his visit to the Kyrgyz Republic as part of participation in the opening of the new theater season and discussion of implementation of various joint projects with the participation of opera singers, ballet dancers, a choir, as well as orchestras of two theaters.

The parties stressed the discussion of the prospects for development of bilateral exchanges in the field of culture and art was well-timed.
