Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Germany Omurbek Tekebaev met with the District Administrator of the Cham District of the Federal State of Bavaria Franz Löffler and the Head of the Employment Agency of the Schwandorf District Siegfried Baeumler

On April 20, 2023, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany Omurbek Tekebaev met with the District Administrator of the Cham District of the Federal State of Bavaria Franz Löffler and the Head of the Employment Agency of the Schwandorf District Siegfried Baeumler. The meeting was held as part of expanding cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Federal State of Bavaria, including issues of employment of citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Germany.

Ambassador O.Tekebaev noted the importance of training qualified personnel on the basis of secondary technical educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan according to the German training program and their internship in Germany.

F.Loeffler noted the lack of qualified personnel in Germany and expressed his readiness to cooperate with Kyrgyzstan.

S.Baeumler informed about the possibility of accepting the first students from Kyrgyzstan in September 2023 to receive a three-year secondary technical education and further employment. This cooperation is carried out on the basis of the Memorandum between the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Federal Employment Agency of Germany on cooperation in the field of employment of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in Germany dated September 21, 2022.

According to this Memorandum, 50 students from Kyrgyzstan will be admitted to the Federal District of Saxony, Germany for a three-year study this year

For reference: The federal district of Bavaria is one of the most important and economically developed federal districts of Germany. Bavaria has the highest rate of shortage of qualified personnel among the 16 federal regions of the country, which is 45.9%.
