On March 27, 2021 the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan together with the diplomatic missions of Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, the UN Office in Pakistan, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan took part in the Nooruz celebration in Islamabad.

The event took place with the participation of the First Lady Mrs. Begum Samina Arif Alvi, representatives of government agencies, the diplomatic corps, representatives of business and creative circles of Pakistan.

Among the guests of the event were also invited ethnic Kyrgyz living in Gilgit province.

As part of the celebration, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the IRP organized a pavilion, where guests of the event were familiarized with the tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan, and could taste national dishes and traditional drinks "maksym" and "chalap".

The celebration was held in strict observance of the mask regime and social distancing.
