First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Nuran Niyazaliev took part in the meeting "Visegrad Group-Central Asia"

On April 15, 2021 First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Nuran Niyazaliev took part in the meeting "Visegrad Group-Central Asia", which took place in the format of a video conference at the level of Deputy foreign ministers of the countries of Central Asia and the Visegrad countries (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic).

During the meeting the parties discussed such issues as the economic and social impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic on the countries of Central Asia, the implementation of the EU Strategy for Central Asia, possible areas of cooperation in the B4-CA format, regional security, etc.

All participants of the meeting noted the readiness to continue the dialogue in the Visegrad Group-Central Asia format, as well as the significant potential for cooperation in this format, primarily in the trade and economic sphere and the implementation of joint investment projects. Agriculture, tourism, energy, industry, transport, healthcare, education, implementation of IT technologies in the economy, digitalization, and a green economy were noted as priority areas for further interaction.

First Deputy Minister N.Niyazaliev informed about the latest political events in the country, expressed gratitude to the Visegrad Group countries and Central Asia for the help and support provided during the coronavirus pandemic. He also invited countries to participate in the First EU-CA Economic Forum, which will be held in October this year in Bishkek. In addition, N.Niyazaliev suggested that the Visegrad Group countries intensify interaction in the B4-CA format by identifying regional coordinators, adopting a Roadmap for cooperation, as well as creating joint working groups in the main areas of dialogue.
