On October 20, 2022 Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Zheenbek Kulubaev received the Ambassador of the French Republic to the Kyrgyz Republic François Delahousse.

During the meeting parties exchanged views on current issues of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and France. With the purpose of further intensification of cooperation Minister Zh. Kulubaev noted the importance of organizing reciprocal visits at high and high levels.

During the meeting parties paid special attention to issues of investment cooperation in the energy sector, including renewable energy sources. In this regard, the French Ambassador presented details concerning the state company EDF (Électricité de France) and its plans for cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.

Minister Zh.Kulubaev informed about hydropower potential of the country and noted the importance of attracting major investors and experts in projects of strategic importance.
