On November 24, 2021, the Meeting "2021 Industrial Technology and Energy Development Cooperation Networking Day" was held in Seoul, organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Institute of Advanced Technologies (KIAT), under the leadership of the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Yeo Han-koo, with the participation of the Ambassadors of foreign countries in order to promote joint projects in the field of industrial technology and energy.
The Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to South Korea Dinara Kemelova took part in the event on behalf of Kyrgyzstan and in her speech invited the Korean side to promote joint projects in hydropower, mining and textile industries, agriculture and food processing, increasing the export potential of Kyrgyzstan and importing organic products to the Korean market. The Kyrgyz and Korean sides agreed to continue consultations in the indicated areas.
For reference: Through the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea and KIAT, the Government of South Korea provides grants and technical assistance to foreign countries through the Official Development Assistance (ODA) in the field of industry, energy and advanced technologies. Currently, within the framework of this mechanism in Kyrgyzstan, a project to conduct Kyrgyz-Korean technological consultations and training in the textile industry by the Korea Dyeing and Finishing Technology Institute known as DYETEC has been launched.
