On April 7, 2021, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Minister R.Kazakbaev received the honorary culture worker of the Republic of Turkey, writer O.Erdogan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the activities planned within the framework of the International Issyk-Kul Forum named after Ch.T. Aitmatov in the Republic of Turkey on June 8-10, 2021.
O. Erdogan informed about the measures taken by the Turkish on preparations for the International Issyk-Kul Forum named after Ch.T. Aitmatov in Ankara. He informed about the confirmation of the participation of representatives of scientific circles and cultural workers from more than 20 countries. He noted that the leadership of the Republic of Turkey is expected to participate in the planned events within the framework of the mentioned forum. At the same time,  O. Erdogan expressed a request to the Kyrgyz side to take part in the International Issyk-Kul Forum at the highest and high levels.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic R. Kazakbaev expressed gratitude to the Turkish side for the initiative shown in holding the Issyk-Kul Forum in Turkey. And he noted the importance of further popularizing of the said forum and providing an opportunity for third countries to organize meeting of this forum.
O. Erdogan announced the readiness of the Turkish side to provide political and organizational assistance in promoting and popularizing the International Issyk-Kul Forum named after Ch.T. Aitmatova in the world.
