On March 12, 2022, in Antalya, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev met with the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Turkish Republic Suleyman Soylu.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues in the field of protecting the rights of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkey.

Minister R. Kazakbaev noted that protecting the rights and interests of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic abroad is one of the main priorities of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.

They also discussed the proposal of the Kyrgyz side on the possibility of crossing the borders of two countries on the basis of an internal passport of a citizen (ID-card) and extending the visa-free regime.

In addition, they have discussed the issues of cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
