Mr. Nuran Niyazaliev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has met with Mr. Rustam Aziz Miralizoda, Director of the CARICC

On March 3rd, 2021, Mr. Nuran Niyazaliev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, has met with Mr. Rustam Aziz Miralizoda, Director of the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Centre for combating the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursor (CARICC).

In the course of the meeting, the issue of CARICC activities in the field of effective countering drug trafficking in the region and beyond was considered. Particular attention was paid to the mechanisms of interaction between the competent authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic and CARICC, its other participants, and international organizations and partners in the current projects and programs, as well as draft documents.

Mr. Nuran Niyazaliev, First Deputy Minister, focused on the need to revitalize the Centre and provision of its staff with representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with the basic documents of the CARICC.

Mr. Rustam Aziz Miralizoda, Director of the CARICC, noted the successful interaction with the Kyrgyz Republic, in particular 14 anti-drug operations since 2016.

Taking this opportunity, Mr. Rustam Aziz Miralizoda expressed his gratitude to the Kyrgyz party for cooperation, and also confirmed readiness of the Centre for further active interaction in order to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
