The Ambassador Baktybek Amanbaev discussed the issue of advanced English language teaching in schools in Kyrgyzstan

On August 4, 2021, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the USA Baktybek Amanbaev met with the Acting Director of the U.S. Peace Corps Carol Spahn.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on Peace Corps activities in Kyrgyzstan.

The Ambassador Amanbaev praised the Peace Corps' activities in Kyrgyzstan over the last thirty years in teaching students and teachers the English language and made proposals for future activities.

Ms. Spahn noted that, due to COVID-19 the majority of the Peace Corps volunteers had to leave Kyrgyzstan, while some of them still work in virtual format.

At the end of the meeting the parties agreed to maintain close working contacts.
