On November 16, 2020, in Berlin, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany E.Abdyldaev met with the State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany Norbert Bartle in an online format in connection with the restrictions imposed in Germany due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic Erlan Abdyldaev informed about the internal political stabilization, democratic processes and socio-economic situation in Kyrgyzstan, and also expressed gratitude to the German side for the support provided to Kyrgyzstan in the fight against COVID-19.

The parties noted that the projects being implemented within the framework of bilateral financial and technical cooperation in two priority areas: "Sustainable Development of the Economy" and "Health Care" are fruitful and make a tangible contribution to the development of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting, the state and prospects of Kyrgyz-German cooperation for development, issues of implementing debt conversion, holding regular intergovernmental consultations, as well as providing further support by the German side to Kyrgyzstan, including in the fight against coronavirus, were discussed.
