The Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan E.Beishembiev made a presentation as a keynote speaker at the Round table on the results of the SCO Summit in Bishkek and further ways forward for SCO, organized by the Institute of peace and diplomatic studies of Pakistan.

         Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan for information and broadcasting Mrs. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Director General SCO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Mr. Syed Naveed Safdar Bokhari, SCO and CIS Ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic corps in Islamabad, as well as of international organizations and NGOs’, University experts participated in the event.

         The Ambassador E.Beishembiev in his speech informed about events organized in the framework of Kyrgyzstan’s Presidency at SCO, the results of the SCO Summit in Bishkek and meeting between President of KR S.Jeenbekov and Prime Minister of IRP I.Khan. Taking account Pakistan’s and Kyrgyzstan’s participation in EU GSP+ program, he suggested to use beneficial geographic location and economic opportunities of Kyrgyzstan for joint with Pakistan production and delivery of the products to the markets of countries of Central Asia, Eurasian Economic Union and EU, as well as expressed interest of Kyrgyzstan’s access to the open sea via Pakistani ports of Karachi and Gwadar.

         Other participants of the Round table noted the successful Presidency of Kyrgyzstan in SCO, which was concluded by the Organization’s Summit in Bishkek. They also noted that the new Prime Minister of the country Imran Khan first time participated in the work of the SCO Heads of States Council and expressed gratitude to the Kyrgyz side for excellent organization of the Summit and warm hospitality.
