The Deputy Director of the Sixth Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Rakhman Adanov met with representatives of the business community of India, headed by the President of the Indian Economic Trade Organization Asif Iqbal

As part of the ongoing work to promote economic diplomacy, on September 6, 2021, the Deputy Director of the Sixth Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Rakhman Adanov met with representatives of the Indian business community, headed by the President of the Indian Economic Trade Organization (IETO) Asif Iqbal, whose visit was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in India.

During the meeting, Mr. Adanov outlined the steps taken by the leadership and the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan to protect investments and business, and also spoke about a number of changes and innovations in the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of economy. Indian business representatives were also informed about the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic on promoting economic diplomacy. During the conversation, issues on the advancement of the Kyrgyz export, in particular, organic agricultural products that can be supplied to the Indian market were also raised. A separate topic of the conversation was the issue of boosting tourism in Kyrgyzstan.

IETO President Asif Iqbal informed that the representatives of the Indian delegation have interest in the import of copper and organic agricultural products (honey, dried fruits, etc.), the construction of small hotels, the sale of alcoholic beverages, etc. He also mentioned the existing interest in cooperation in the field of education.

Within the framework of this visit, Indian businessmen will also hold meetings with representatives of state authorities and private structures of Kyrgyzstan.
